The Mt. SAC Early College Academy is a small high school with an innovative design blending high school in college in a rigorous, yet supportive program, compressing the time needed to complete a high school diploma and adding up to 2 years of transferable general education college credits.
This four-year college preparatory education program is strategically designed to fulfill the "A-G" college admission requirements, prepare students for the college transition, and make students competitively eligible for admission to UC, Cal State, and other institutions of higher education.
How does it work?
College courses are offered during the school day, taught by college instructors. Students receive college credit through dual enrollment with Mt. SAC College.
Students take both semester- and year-long courses.
High school and college classes are taught in a 90-minute block format Monday-Thursday. All classes meet on Fridays.
Students earn transferable college credit while in high school and will be prepared to pursue post-secondary opportunities while immersed in a supportive environment of high expectations, respect, and academic excellence.
